State of Delaware Loses Millions in Thanksgiving Revenue

While there might be a stiff law on the books in Delaware on the topic of alcohol sales on Thanksgiving day, it didn't deter Delawareans and others from surrounding states to find out who's "LQ shack" was open for business. When some Delawareans arrived at liquor stores in Delaware such as Steve's liquors at Prices Corner and other stores such as Total Wine, they were indirectly greeted in the parking lot by others hoping at least one LQ spot in Delaware would be open as an exception. Unfortunately, no LQ spots in Delaware were open, as those in some liquor store parking lots started brainstorming among themselves who may potentially be open on Thanksgiving. One gentleman in a Red pickup truck mentioned he was searching on his cell phone to see if the spot in Elkton was possibly selling. Indeed they were. And, you virtually saw everyone from Delaware and their grandfather-grandmother parked and pulling up in the parking lot at the Elkton state line liquors packed like Sardines. 'Slidi
