Starting a blog is a good way to build your own career when you find it challenging securing traditional employment. Working a traditional job today is virtually null and void because there's no more job security. Doesn't matter what type of college degree you have nowadays. You can still get kicked to the curb for any reason or no reason. Most employers now a days hire employees at will. At-will means they can let you go for no reason.
